GMC just released that the AT4 trim will be available on the Yukon and Yukon XL this summer. The AT4 trim is an off-road package, so expect to see torch-red accents, exclusive AT4 features, and more on the all-new Yukon AT4! more Exterior Appearance Updates The Yukon AT4 will have signature features that make it stand out on the road and from other trim levels. It will offer a dark-chrome grille and gloss-black bumper. The signature C-shaped LED headlamps have been updated with a unique laser-etched texture. Off-road Features The front end of the Yukon AT4 has a 32-degree front angle to better climb steep terrain. The torch-red horizontal recovery hooks and skid plate not only give a bold appearance but offer functionality. It will also have black roof rails and assist steps to give it a sleek and capable appearance. The 20-inch six-spoke machined-aluminum wheels with Carbon Gray Metallic accents and 20-inch Goodyear all-terrain tires allow the Yukon AT4 to be more capable in off-road excursions. Interior Seating The interior of the Yukon AT4 is rugged and sleek with luxurious accents. The interior is accented with dark, brushed aluminum and premium materials. It will come standard with perforated leather-appointed seating in the first and second row. The AT4 logo will be embroidered head restraints, along with Brandy accent stitching with color and coordinated cutouts. For a more luxurious feeling, GMC has made the steering wheel, first-row buckets, standard second-row power-release bench, and available second-row bucket outboard seats all heated. Cargo Space The 2021 Yukon AT4 will be roomier than previous Yukon models.  The 3rd-row bench seat offers a power-folding configuration that allows you to carry more cargo. For smaller items, the GMC class-leading power-sliding center console will be available in the center console. Capability Engine The 5.3L EcoTec V8 engine will come standard on the Yukon AT4, which offers 355 horsepower, and 383 lb-ft of torque. When driving up steep terrain, the Yukon AT4’s  AutoTrac 2-speed transfer case has low-range gearing that provides additional torque for support. Active Response 4WD System Whether you're driving off-road or the road conditions are slick, the all-new available Active Response 4WD System is there to help; it automatically detects the wheels with most grip and then sends the torque to where it’s needed most, so you don't have to worry about sliding. Hill Descent Control The Hill Descent Control feature leverages anti-lock braking technology to help with a more controlled descent on uneven terrain in the Yukon AT4. Air Ride Adaptive Suspension The Yukon AT4 allows you to choose the height of your SUV with the first-in-class available Air Ride Adaptive Suspension. The variable-rate air springs raise the Yukon AT4 by one to two inches. The skid plates cover the underbody, which protects it from debris. Magnetic Ride Control The Magnetic Ride Control feature is designed to provide a smooth and refined ride. The GMC Denali trim is known for being the most luxurious trim level and the exclusive updates the 2021 Yukon Denali will not disappoint. It will feature an exclusive grille that has over 10,000 surfaces, bright roof rails and chrome accented door handles and body trim. New Engine Options The SLE, SLT, and AT4 will come standard with the 5.3L EcoTec V8 engine and 10-speed transmission. The powerful 6.2L V8 engine delivers best-in-class 420 horsepower and will come standard on the Yukon Denali. Each engine will have GMC's Dynamic Fuel Management system to further increase efficiency. There will be a segment-exclusive Duramax diesel engine available for the 2021 Yukon. Since it is segment-exclusive, no other GM model will receive this option. It will also be pairs with a 10-speed transmission. The first-in-class four-corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension will be available on the 2021 Yukon and Yukon XL; it will adjust to driving conditions by optimizing ride height, thus reducing drag and increasing efficiency. The all-new Active Response 4WD System will also be a new option on the Yukon. It is intelligently designed to send the right amount of torque needed to each wheel as needed, which helps you keep your SUV under control during strong winds, changing lanes, and more. Luxurious & Innovative Interior The 2021 Yukon will give you a first-class experience while driving. The class-leading power sliding center console adds a new level of luxury; when the vehicle is in "Valet Mode" you will be able to secretly store items inside that cannot be unlocked. The overall cargo volume will increase; starting with the third-row having 40 percent more legroom, thus giving it the best-in-class cargo volume behind the third row. When hauling cargo, GMC has redesigned the Yukon to make it easier to gain access into the back; the liftgate will be at a lower angle, so you can place items in the back at ease.
