Schedule a service appointment with Circle Buick GMC
Are you driving around in your favorite GMC pickup truck this fall? We all know that every time the seasons change, it’s another suggestion that you should be paying close attention to the maintenance of your vehicle. This is especially true for people who do live in places like Indiana, when fall really does start to get chilly, and your vehicle could start performing differently because of the shift of weather. That’s why, right here at Circle Buick GMC, we want to make sure that your truck is ready for everything that fall weather could offer. Down below we are going to be telling you about some of the most important fall maintenance you should be considering, and we hope you will choose the service center here at Circle Buick GMC for all of your truck’s needs. We’ll be here every step of the way with certified technicians who get the job done right.
Change the oil
We know, you’ve likely heard this many times before, and we are going to further reiterate the importance of an oil change for the health of your pickup truck. Why is that? Well, when you consistently get the oil changed in your truck, the engine can function efficiently, and not have the drawback of sludge that can build up otherwise. When you start to have issues with your engine, that can cause a lot of expensive fixes later on down the road, and there’s nothing we want to help avoid more than engine problems. So, get that oil change you’ve been putting off, and save yourself money and headaches in the future.
Check your tires
Beyond getting the oil changed, one of the other major maintenance suggestions we have for you is to keep a close eye on the tires of your truck. We mean more than just checking out the tread depth, though that should be looked at, too. We mean looking more at the tire pressure, and ensuring that it meets the correct standard that is in the owner’s manual. Anytime the tires are over- or under-inflated, that can cause various problems during travel, like having to use up more gas, or even getting a blowout while driving. Avoid all of that, and just keep the health of the tires in mind.
Test truck lights
Once fall arrives, it also means that it will be darker, and likely a little rainier than it was in the summer months. This means, more than ever, the lights of your truck matter that much more. We highly suggest getting someone you know and checking the lights of your truck. This includes headlights, taillights, brake lights, and all of the turn signals. You want to make sure that you can see efficiently, and that everyone else can see your truck, too.
Replace windshield wipers
The last piece of maintenance advice we’re giving you here today is to replace your windshield wipers. We’ve mentioned it previously, but you are likely to come across plenty of rain this fall, and you don’t want to have streaky windshield wipers that can make seeing out of your truck even harder than before. So, switch them out, and make sure that you can see well, and avoid any issues.
