The impressive 2.0L Tubo engine delivers 228 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque sent to the wheels thanks to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain offers drivers 3,500 lbs. of max towing capacity and an impressive 29 miles to the gallon. If you need more power, the  3.6L DOHC V-6 provides 310 horsepower and 271 lb.-ft. of torque and is paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission. This setup delivers an outstanding 4,000 lbs. towing capacity. In addition, GMC’s Traction Select system gives added confidence to Acadia drivers by allowing them to switch among different modes for different road conditions. 

Is GMC’s Pro Safety Plus standard on the Acadia?

GMC’s Pro Safety Plus is a suite of excellent safety features that is now standard across all Acadia models. These next-level technologies and safety features allow you to stay connected, informed, and aware of surrounding vehicles as you confidently navigate the open road. One of the safety systems that are included in this suite is GMC’s Forward Collision Alert. This system warns you if the feature detects a potential front-end collision with a vehicle you’re following so you can quickly take action. It can also provide a tailgating alert if you’re following a vehicle much too closely. The Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning is another system that comes with the Pro Safety Plus. It uses a brief, gentle steering wheel turn to alert you when you may be unintentionally drifting out of detected lane lines, so you can steer to stay safely in your lane. If needed, you may receive additional Lane Departure Warning alerts. System alerts do not occur if you’re using your turn signal or detect you may be intentionally leaving your lane.
